Flatbush (compared to other Orthodox HS's) has a large number of openly gay alumni spanning all ages. Some are not just alumni but they belong to active families in the YOF community. Flatbush needs to respect its alumni -- the reunion is not a horse and pony show for the school to display alumni that align exactly in the mold Flatbush would prefer. Reunions should be unbiased, nonpolitical, and most importantly social.

Unrelated, here's an article Dr. Joel Wolowelsky published about counseling gay/curious Yeshiva students.

Just to note: I never requested to bring my partner... I asked to reserve space for two people at the reunion.
