They're not the victims; none of their threatening statements will come true. If they cared so much about religious freedom or schools, they'd be changing laws about enforcement or the curricula, not taking away rights from people. The backers of the Yes on 8 campaign? The Mormon Church, the Knights of Columbus, and Focus on the Family, all of whom oppose both gay marriage and civil unions. This is a fight to take rights away from gays and lesbians, not to help religious people based on some fear that they may be persecuted.
